In 1969, Mary Oishi had her first poem published in Read, a magazine distributed nationally to high school English classes. Since then, her writings have appeared on various internet sites and in numerous publications, including:

A short fiction, "Appalachian Confessions," was released on Albuzerxque, Volume 16 (2003), a CD collection of Albuquerque writers and musicians. Mary Oishi has published one chapbook, Naked Without Shame (1988) and released a poetry CD, kiss the world awake, in December 2004.
